1962-64 Ford Galaxie 500 - Adapt Hurst shifter to stock shifter

 
This is a set of new parts to adapt your 1962, 1963 or 1964 Galaxie Hust Shifter linkage to use your stock shifter. This may work for many other makes and models as many are similar.
 
This kit should also work for the same year Fairlane. This kit includes the adapter itself, and also a machined aluminum spacer ring to raise up your lower shift boot (console cars) or shift boot (non-console car) so that it is not damaged by rubbing against the Hurst Shifter, bolts or adapter. This adapter is designed to keep the shifter height similar to stock rather than to raise it up. It will be slightly more to the passenger side than stock (less than an inch).
 
This kit includes new grade 8 bolts, washers and lock washers, 3ea self tapping screws to mount the ring to the tunnel cover and 4ea 10-24 stainless button head screws & washers to mount the lower boot to the adapter ring.
 
 
The adapter bracket is milled from a solid block of steel, and has a cold blue finish. The spacer ring is milled from 6061 aluminum. All parts are made here in the USA.
 
There is one minor modification to your existing tunnel cover that may be required. This works with both the original tunnel covers and the ones sold from Buds. However, you may need to trim a very small amount of material out of the bottom right of the existing hole to allow for smooth shifting into 4th gear. This can easily be accomplished with a Dremel or even a hand file as the amount of material is minimal.
